Many of our customers are homeowners that like to keep their homes free from spiders, cockroaches and ants by having a general pest spray once a year. Also known as a ‘spider spray’, this professional spray treatment is applied to walls, decks and outside areas (and along the property perimeter) to keep pests out. Springtime is an ideal time, but a spray treatment can be carried out at any time of year.
Termites on the other hand require a different approach as they live underground most of the time. It is recommended that every home is inspected for termites every year, as it is easy for termites to enter a property undetected and create significant damage. Lots of our customers have their annual termite inspection at the same time as a general pest treatment as having the two services together is a good way to save time and cost.
As well as general pest treatments, we are experts in handling all kinds of pest situations. If a particular pest is causing a problem, we will conduct a thorough inspection of the property, diagnose the problem, and offer a professional solution. Rest assured we’ve seen it all, and no pest problem is too big or too small.
Serial Pest Control also works with schools, care homes, offices and commercial property owners to provide professional pest control services to businesses and organisations in Glenwood.

What Our Clients Say
Key Pests in Glenwood
As much as we love a warm climate, pests do too. Ants, fleas, cockroaches and rodents all love a warm environment with plenty of food and water, which is certainly the case in Glenwood. Termites especially need warmth and moisture as they spend so much of their time in the soil. The climate in Western Sydney is just right for them, with enough rainfall in late summer and autumn to keep the soil moist. Although they are rarely seen, termites should always be considered the top pest of concern.
Some pests, such as cockroaches, can be a problem all year round, whereas others such as ants are more of an issue during the hottest months when they are actively seeking new food sources. Spiders will often give homeowners cause for concern as they can enter indoors areas (usually by mistake) with wandering spiders often turning up in piles of clothes or laundry. With Sydney being home to several venomous species, care should always be taken around spiders, particularly those with pets and children. In autumn, rodents will often attempt to gain entry to people’s homes through cracks and gaps looking for a warm nesting spot for the winter. Once established they can be challenging to remove, but with our expert knowledge of rodent behaviour we know how to get rodents out, and keep them out.
Termite Inspections and Treatments in Glenwood
Termites are clever insects that create tunnels from their nest leading outwards to a number of different food sources, all without being seen! They eat the cellulose found in timber, which means anything from floorboards to structural timbers are at risk from termite attack. Having a professional termite inspection every year is the very least that’s required to keep tabs on their activity. During a termite inspection, one of our professional inspectors will examine the property checking for signs of termite activity. Potential weak spots, where termites could potentially enter, will also be identified. If the house is under attack from termites, our professional termite treatments will deal with the infestation, eliminating the problem and offering ongoing long-term protection.
A termite management system is the gold standard when it comes to protecting a home against termites. One option is a baiting system, which involves placing bait stations around the perimeter of the property at regularly spaced intervals. Another options is a liquid soil treatment, which involves applying termiticide to the soil around the property. When mixed with the soil, it acts as a defensive “barrier” that deters termites from entering the building.
After installation, one of our professional inspectors will check the system annually to ensure if is working efficiently and to replenish termiticide as needed. With termite damage not covered by most home insurance policies, having a termite management system is the best way to protect against termite attack.
